What free placement actually means
There is no equipment cost, no lease, no monthly fee and no minimum transaction count. We own the ATM, we own the cash inside it, and we carry the insurance on both. Your only contribution is floor space and a standard 110V outlet. In exchange, you receive a negotiated share of the surcharge fee on every withdrawal made at your location, paid monthly.
Why a store owner wants one
Two reasons, and the second is the bigger one. First, the surcharge share is pure margin — there is no product to buy and no labor to add. Second, cash withdrawn inside your business tends to get spent inside your business. Industry operators have described this for decades as the walking-around-money effect: a customer who came in for a soda pulls two twenties, and the second twenty rarely makes it back out the door. For bars, liquor stores, smoke shops, tow yards and swap meets, the incremental sales usually dwarf the surcharge revenue.
Our machines take tap. Most operators' machines do not.
This is the part of the pitch we care most about. Our current-generation units accept contactless — tap a phone, a watch or a contactless card and go. No inserting a card, no waiting for it to be returned, no card left behind in the reader. Customers under forty increasingly expect it, and when they hit a machine that cannot do it, a meaningful number of them simply walk away rather than dig out a physical card. Contactless is also faster per transaction, which matters on a Friday night when there is a line.
Why almost nobody else offers it
Because upgrading a fleet costs real money, and the machines already on the wall still technically work. An operator with two hundred locations running older hardware is looking at a six-figure decision to add tap, so the overwhelming majority simply do not — they keep collecting on equipment they bought years ago and hope nobody notices. We made the opposite call. If you are comparing us against your current provider, ask them one question: does your machine accept a tap? The answer tells you most of what you need to know about how they are investing in your location.
What we install
Our workhorses are the Genmega Black Onyx and the Hyosung Halo II — current-generation machines with contactless readers, EMV chip acceptance, encrypting PIN pads, high-brightness screens and topper signage that reads from across a room. Every unit ships with wireless connectivity, so there is no phone line to run and no drilling through your walls. If your ceiling height, doorway or aesthetic calls for something different, we will spec a through-the-wall or freestanding kiosk instead.
Stores that do not offer cash back
Discount and dollar-format retail is some of the strongest placement territory in Southern California right now, for one specific reason: most of these chains do not offer cash back at the register. Their customers are frequently cash-preferring, they are shopping for exactly the kind of small-basket items cash gets used for, and there is often no bank branch nearby. That combination produces machine volumes that surprise people. The same logic applies to any retailer with a no-cash-back policy — if your customers are regularly asking your cashiers for cash and getting told no, that demand is currently walking out your door.
Monitoring and service
The wireless connection reports back to us continuously. If a machine jams, runs low on cash, loses signal or throws a receipt-paper error, we know within seconds — usually before you do. Someone from our team is reachable by phone or text seven days a week from 6AM to 6PM, and after-hours texts get answered. We do not route you to a national call center in another time zone.
Getting started
The process is short. We talk for ten minutes about your location and traffic, we do a quick site look, you sign a one-page placement agreement, and we schedule the install. Most locations in Los Angeles and Orange County go live within a week of signing. There is no long-term lock-in — if it is not working for you, the machine comes out.
